Background
L.J. International Ltd., a part of the A.V. Thomas Group of Companies, is the pioneer in Commercial Plant Biotechnology in India. In 1987, a state-of-the-art Plant Tissue Culture laboratory was set up in the Special Economic Zone at Cochin in Kerala, with a view to tap the vast export potential for Tissue Culture plants. In 2004, another laboratory was built in order to expand capacities. Today, the Company has the capacity to produce 10 million plants/annum.
